Do you enjoy managing multiple sites and taking ownership of project valuations and variations?
About the Company
Join a well-established, growing commercial construction business specialising in fit-outs and specialist flooring solutions across London and the South East. The company has a reputation for delivering high-quality projects, working closely with contractors, architects, and clients, and offers a supportive, collaborative environment where your skills and expertise will be valued.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and organised Surveyor to join our commercial team. In this role, you will manage multiple projects across London, taking responsibility for surveys, valuations, variations, and project handovers. You will work closely with site teams, procurement, and management to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed site surveys and assessments, ensuring compliance with design and client requirements.
Prepare accurate valuations, variations, and monthly reports with clear documentation and photos.
Price and return variations promptly, maintaining project schedules and budgets.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to coordinate materials, labour, and delivery logistics.
Review and sign off invoices and support financial reporting for ongoing projects.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely progress monitoring and handovers.
Utilise software tools such as Bluebeam and Excel to maintain survey and project records.
Person Specification:
Previous surveying experience, ideally within commercial construction, fit-outs, or a relevant business in the Construction sector.
Strong understanding of project delivery, cost control, and variation management.
Proactive, organised, and able to manage time effectively between office and site.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors.
Competence with Bluebeam and project documentation software is desirable but ability to use Excel is essential.
Flexible, driven, and willing to learn, with a focus on accuracy and timely results.
Job Benefits:
Competitive salary with clear progression opportunities.
Hybrid working with flexibility between office and site.
Exposure to high-value, technically challenging projects and opportunities to develop specialist knowledge.
Supportive team environment with learning and development opportunities.
Ready to take the next step in your surveying career?
