A well-established global property and construction consultancy is currently looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their central London team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual at the early stages of their QS career to gain hands-on experience across a range of high-profile commercial, hospitality, and residential developments.

The consultancy supports a wide mix of private sector clients, offering clear progression, a structured APC programme, and mentoring from senior professionals in a collaborative team environment.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor

- The Role

The successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor will support the delivery of full cost consultancy services from feasibility through to final account. You will work closely with senior surveyors and project managers on live projects, gaining exposure to both pre- and post-contract duties, client liaison, and contractor coordination.

This role offers excellent development opportunities for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to build a long-term consultancy career.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor

- Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of cost plans, budgets, and tender documentation
Support contract administration and cost reporting under JCT and NEC contracts
Contribute to procurement processes and tender evaluations
Attend client and project team meetings
Assist in managing variations, valuations, and final accounts
Work collaboratively with senior surveyors across multiple project stages

Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements

1-3 years' experience in a consultancy or client-side quantity surveying role
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a RICS-accredited discipline
Familiarity with both pre- and post-contract responsibilities
Eager to work towards MRICS chartership
Strong communication and organisational skills
Enthusiastic about working on complex projects in a fast-paced London environment
