An established residential developer is seeking a driven Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their London team. This Assistant Quantity Surveyor opportunity offers hands-on quantity surveying exposure across multiple live schemes, supporting senior quantity surveyor colleagues in delivering full commercial control. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be involved in both pre and post contract quantity surveying duties, gaining practical experience across procurement, cost reporting and financial management.

This role is suited to a Quantity Surveyor looking to strengthen their quantity surveying foundation within a developer environment.

The Company?
The successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor will join a growing development business with a strong pipeline of residential projects across London. The team works closely across commercial and construction functions, offering exposure to the full development lifecycle.

The Role
As the Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will support the commercial team throughout the project lifecycle.

The role will include:
Assisting with cost planning and budget preparation
Supporting procurement and subcontractor tender processes
Managing subcontractor packages and payment applications
Assisting with valuations, variations and final accounts
Preparing cost reports and supporting financial forecasting

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor?
You will be commercially aware, organised and keen to develop within a residential development environment.

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor must have:
A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

Experience with in a contractor or developer setting
Strong understanding of construction contracts
Good numerical and analytical skills
Clear communication and the ability to work within a team

In return……?
£35,000 - £45,000 pa (dependant on experience)
