The Site Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of passive fire and fire door works on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly, and in line with programme and specification.
You will act as the key link between operatives, project management, clients, and head office-maintaining high standards of workmanship, documentation, and site control across multiple live environments.
Key Responsibilities
· Site inspection, maintenance, and installation works across London and surrounding counties
· Manage site set-up, inductions, daily briefings, and toolbox talks
· Coordinate operatives and subcontractors, ensuring works are carried out in line with specifications, manufacturers' guidance, and industry standards
· Maintain high standards of health & safety, ensuring RAMS are followed and site audits are completed
· Carry out quality inspections and sign-offs, ensuring works are fully documented and traceable
· Use company systems (e.g. One Trace or equivalent) to record inspections, evidence, variations, and progress
· Order and manage materials, coordinating deliveries to suit programme and site constraints
· Liaise with clients, managing agents, and other stakeholders, providing clear progress updates
· Assist with programme planning and reporting on progress, risks, and delays
· Maintain accurate site records, including diaries, variations, and completion documentation
· Support the development and mentoring of operatives and junior team members where required
Requirements
· Proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally within fire doors or passive fire protection
· Strong working knowledge of fire door installation, inspection, and maintenance standards
· Solid understanding of health & safety legislation and site management procedures
· Confident managing site teams and communicating professionally with clients and stakeholders
· Organised, detail-focused, and comfortable with digital systems and reporting
· Full UK driving licence
