Albion Recruitment is currently working with a long-established specialist contractor who is looking to appoint an Assistant Estimator to join their pre‑construction team.

The business is known for delivering high‑quality stone, façade, and restoration packages across prestigious commercial, heritage, and high‑end residential projects throughout London and the South East. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior or assistant‑level estimator to develop their career within a specialist contractor environment.

You will support the senior estimating team in preparing cost plans and tender submissions across a range of façade and stonework projects.

• Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates from drawings and specifications
• Taking off quantities for stone and façade packages
• Requesting and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Supporting tender submissions and documentation
• Liaising with design, procurement, and project teams
• Maintaining accurate records of tenders and estimates

• Previous experience in an estimating or commercial role within construction
• Background in façades, stonework, drylining, or interiors preferred
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Good numerical and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Eagerness to learn and progress within estimating

• Salary between £30,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
• 1 day per week working from home
