Quantity Surveyor - Mansonry We are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor - Mansonry This is a contractor-side / subcontractor QS role, commercially managing brickwork & masonry packages on residential  commercial projects across the UK, dealing with Tier 1 main contractors and developers . Location / Package Base:
Essex (Chelmsford / Langford area) Salary: £50,000 £ 75,000 (negotiable DOE) Important:
The client will pay at the higher end for proven brickwork/masonry QS experience (i.e., candidates who have run masonry/brickwork packages end-to-end). Benefits: 25 days holiday, health insurance, phone/laptop, car or car allowance What they will be doing (core responsibilities) Full commercial management of brickwork/masonry packages from tender handover through to final account Monthly valuations / applications for payment Cost reporting / CVRs , budgets, cashflow forecasting Variations : identify, measure, price, negotiate and get agreed Subcontract administration  advising on contract conditions (primarily JCT ) Working closely with site teams, contracts managers and estimating to support profitable delivery Strong requirement for take-offs / measurement and BOQ understanding Clients theyll interface with Must-have candidate profile Proven QS experience (contractor-side) Ideally experience in brickwork / masonry / stonework (trade or package QS) Will consider main contractor QS if theyve run relevant packages and want to move into specialist subcontractor side Confident producing take-offs , valuations, cost reports, and managing variations Good Excel / MS Office, strong communication, organised/detail-focused Interested or for more information send CV
