We are working on a confidential basis with a well-established London fit-out and refurbishment contractor to appoint an experienced Estimator.
This contractor delivers high-quality interior fit-out and refurbishment schemes across the UK, with a strong London presence. Projects range from circa £1k through to £50m and include:
 
CAT A & CAT B office fit-outs
Commercial refurbishments (lobbies, receptions, floors, services upgrades)
Works within live, occupied buildings requiring careful phasing
Medium to large-scale commercial projects up to £50m  Operating as a main contractor, the business manages full project delivery, coordinating multiple trades on complex, programme-sensitive schemes. They are part of a larger, international construction group and are recognised for their quality, safety culture, and forward-thinking digital delivery approach.

The Role As Estimator, you will play a key role within the pre-construction team, responsible for producing competitive and commercially sound tenders across a range of interior fit-out and refurbishment projects.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing detailed cost estimates from first principles
Reviewing drawings, specifications and employer’s requirements
Managing the tender process from enquiry to submission
Obtaining and analysing subcontractor quotations
Value engineering and risk analysis
Attending client meetings and supporting bid strategy
Working closely with commercial and delivery teams to ensure smooth handover  

The Ideal Candidate We are seeking a confident, commercially astute Estimator with:
 
Proven experience in office fit-out and commercial refurbishment
Exposure to projects ranging from small works to multi-million pound schemes
Strong understanding of live environment projects
Ability to price both traditional and design & build tenders
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Stable career history within reputable main contractors  What’s on Offer
