Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 + Package

An experienced Floor Laying Projects / Contracts Manager is required to oversee multiple commercial flooring projects across London and the South East. This role will take full responsibility for the delivery of flooring contracts from pre-start through to final account, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

You will manage site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, with a strong focus on programme control, quality, and commercial performance.

• Manage multiple flooring projects simultaneously from award to completion

• Oversee site teams, supervisors, and subcontract labour

• Programme planning, progress tracking, and reporting to senior management

• Client liaison and attendance at site and progress meetings

• Procurement of materials and coordination with suppliers

• Ensure works are delivered in line with specifications, drawings, and quality standards

• Manage health & safety compliance, RAMS, and site audits

• Commercial oversight including cost control, variations, and final accounts

• Resolve site issues efficiently to minimise delays or cost impact

• Proven experience as a Projects Manager / Contracts Manager within floor laying or flooring contracts

• Strong background in commercial flooring (e.g. vinyl, carpet tiles, safety flooring, wood, resin, etc.)

• Experience managing multiple live projects concurrently

• Strong client-facing and communication skills

• Good understanding of construction programmes, budgets, and site management

• Ability to manage subcontractors and direct labour effectively

• Full UK driving licence

• Organised and detail-oriented

• Commercially aware with strong cost control ability

• Confident decision-maker

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Proactive approach to problem-solving

• Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 (dependent on experience)
