Assistant Building Surveyor – Social Housing & Capital Works

An exciting position is available as an Assistant Building Surveyor based in South East London, delivering capital works projects with a strong focus on social housing.
This Junior Building Surveyor job in London involves delivering capital works and refurbishment projects, primarily within the social housing sector, under JCT contracts, offering professional development towards chartered status. You will be office-based with site visits; hybrid work will be an option when firmly established in the role.

• Capital works projects with a focus on social housing
• Working as part of a multidisciplinary consultancy team
• Sites primarily located within the M25

• Assisting in the preparation of specifications, schedules of works, and tender documents
• Carrying out property inspections and condition surveys
• Writing professional reports for clients
• Attending site meetings and assisting with project delivery
• Building strong client relationships and developing communication skills

• Contract administration knowledge is essential
• Experience in a client-facing role
• Proficiency in writing professional specifications

• BSc in Building Surveying (or equivalent) required
• 1+ year of experience in a building surveying role after graduation preferable
• Ambition to achieve MRICS chartership encouraged and supported
