Chartered Quantity Surveyor position within a multidisciplinary property consultancy delivering predominantly commercial cost management instructions, with additional residential project exposure. This is a permanent role suited to an MRICS Quantity Surveyor operating confidently across pre- and post-contract delivery. The position offers highly flexible hybrid working arrangements beyond a standard office attendance model. The role sits at Surveyor / Senior Surveyor level with direct client-facing responsibility.

- Deliver pre- and post-contract cost management instructions across predominantly commercial developments
- Prepare detailed cost plans from early feasibility through procurement stages
- Produce tender documentation and manage tender return analysis
- Advise clients on procurement strategy and commercial risk allocation
- Administer construction contracts through project delivery and financial close-out
- Prepare and agree final accounts
- Produce monthly cost reports and financial performance updates for clients and stakeholders
- Complete benchmarking analysis to support commercial decision-making
- Deliver fund monitoring instructions for development-led projects
- Undertake reinstatement cost assessments for insurance-related instructions
- Prepare detailed measurement and take-offs for labour and material pricing exercises
- Manage direct client communication throughout instruction lifecycle
- Report into senior cost management leadership while maintaining day-to-day delivery autonomy
This multidisciplinary consultancy provides cost consultancy and wider built environment advisory services across commercial and residential property sectors. Clients include developers, investors, asset owners, and occupiers. The appointment supports continued workload growth across cost management instructions and increasing client demand within the London market.
Candidate Requirements- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related built environment discipline
- MRICS qualified
- Consultancy Quantity Surveying background
- Strong pre- and post-contract cost management experience
- Commercial project delivery experience essential
- Residential sector exposure beneficial
- Experience producing client-facing cost reporting and commercial advice
- Contract administration capability across live construction projects
- Sound commercial judgement in procurement and cost control matters
- Ability to manage instructions with limited supervision
