Intermediate Quantity Surveyor – Main Contractor
Location:
Greater London | Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 + Package (DOE) | Job Type: Permanent | Full‑Time
A well‑established Main Contractor operating across Greater London is seeking an ambitious Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team.
Key Responsibilities- Assisting with the commercial management of projects from pre‑construction through to final account
- Preparing subcontractor packages, procurement schedules and tender analysis
- Managing subcontractor valuations, payments and variations
- Supporting cost reporting and forecasting
- Assisting with preparation of CVRs and monthly commercial reports
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors and site teams
- Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks/opportunities
- Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and contractual requirements
- 3–6 years' Quantity Surveying experience
- Previous experience working for a Main Contractor
- Experience across residential, commercial or mixed‑use projects
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
- Good understanding of JCT contracts
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and commercial reporting systems
- Full UK working rights
