Site Manager – High-End Retail & Hospitality Fit-Out Overview

My client is a leading interior fit-out specialist delivering high-end retail, luxury hospitality and premium commercial interior projects for globally recognised brands and clients.

Due to continued growth and an increasing pipeline of prestigious projects, we are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of fast-paced, design-led fit-out schemes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven construction professional with a strong background in high-end interiors, retail or hospitality fit-out, who enjoys working in demanding environments where quality, programme and client experience are paramount.

The successful candidate will take full ownership of site operations, managing all on-site activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to an exceptional standard of finish.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will be the main point of contact on site for clients, subcontractors, consultants and the wider project team.

You will coordinate all site activities, oversee subcontractors and trades, maintain programme delivery and ensure the highest standards of workmanship, health & safety and presentation throughout the project lifecycle.

This role requires a proactive and solutions-focused individual who can work autonomously, manage multiple priorities and confidently lead teams within fast-track fit-out environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Management & Coordination
  • Coordinate subcontractors, direct labour and specialist trades.
  • Lead site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings.
  • Monitor productivity, workmanship and programme performance.
  • Ensure projects are delivered snag-free and to the highest quality standards.
  • Maintain excellent site presentation, organisation and housekeeping throughout.
Project Delivery
  • Oversee the full fit-out process from strip-out through to final handover.
  • Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications and construction details.
  • Carry out site surveys and setting out works.
  • Coordinate ceilings, partitions, doors, finishes and services installations.
  • Identify and resolve site issues proactively to avoid delays or clashes.
  • Ensure all works are delivered in line with programme requirements and client expectations.
Health & Safety
  • Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and site procedures.
  • Maintain RAMS, site documentation and permit systems.
  • Ensure safe working practices are followed by all personnel on site.
  • Monitor PPE compliance, plant usage and welfare standards.
  • Maintain a safe environment for staff, visitors and the public at all times.
Client & Team Communication
  • Act as the primary on-site contact for clients and project stakeholders.
  • Liaise closely with Contracts Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Designers and Procurement teams.
  • Coordinate subcontractor attendance, sequencing and programme alignment.
  • Provide regular progress updates and reporting.
Essential Experience & Requirements
  • Proven experience managing high-end retail, hospitality or luxury commercial fit-out projects.
  • Strong understanding of fast-track interior fit-out environments.
  • Trade background with a strong eye for quality and detail.
  • Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades on live projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership ability.
  • CSCS Management Card.
  • Good understanding of CDM Regulations and Health & Safety legislation.
