Permanent or Freelance A leading groundworks and civil engineering contractor is looking for an experienced Estimator to join their pre-construction team. With a strong pipeline of infrastructure and enabling works across London and the Home Counties, this role offers the chance to price complex packages and contribute to strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate take-offs and cost estimates for groundworks, civils, and enabling works Review tender documents and assess commercial risks Liaise with clients, engineers, and subcontractors during bid preparation Compile pricing schedules and support bid submissions Track market rates and maintain cost databases Attend site visits and contribute to value engineering discussions Support handover to delivery teams post-award Essential Requirements:
Minimum 5 years estimating experience in groundworks, civils, or enabling works Strong understanding of construction methods and commercial principles Proficient in estimating software and Excel Excellent attention to detail and communication skills Full UK driving licence Desirable:
Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying CSCS card
