The business provides a complete service from survey and design through to installation and ongoing maintenance, with a strong focus on compliance, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager to join the team.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee multiple passive fire protection projects valued between £2m–£4m, ensuring successful delivery from inception through to completion.

The successful candidate will have a proven background within the fire protection, construction, or fire & security sectors, with strong knowledge of fire doors, fire stopping, compartmentation, and containment systems.

Reporting to senior management, you will manage site operations, direct labour, and subcontractors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be the primary site contact for clients and internal stakeholders while maintaining strong commercial awareness and ensuring compliance with all relevant fire safety regulations.

Skills & Experience

* Proven experience as a Site Manager within the fire protection, construction, or fire & security sectors.

* Relevant trade qualifications and certifications.

* Experience working within social housing environments desirable.

* Strong understanding of fire stopping, fire doors, compartmentation, and containment.

* Experience managing projects valued between £2m–£4m.

* Sound knowledge of fire regulations, FRA requirements, and passive fire protection systems.

* Experience managing direct labour, agency workers, and subcontractors.

* Excellent communication and organisational skills.

* Strong stakeholder management abilities.

* Commercially aware with an understanding of project budgets and contractual obligations.

* Carpentry background desirable, ideally with experience in fire door installation or remedial works.

* Confident using digital reporting tools and site management software.

* Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points).

Key Responsibilities

* Manage passive fire protection projects from inception through to completion.

* Supervise daily site activities for fire safety and remedial works.

* Coordinate direct labour teams and subcontractors.

* Oversee installation, inspection, and maintenance of fire doors, fire stopping, compartmentation, and containment works.

* Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and quality inspections.

* Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and photographic evidence.

* Liaise with clients, residents, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery within occupied environments.

* Ensure compliance with all fire safety regulations and industry standards.

* Monitor project budgets, costs, and programme performance.

* Act as the key site contact for clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.

* Produce and manage project documentation, programmes, and progress reports.

* Implement quality assurance procedures and maintain robust audit trails.

* Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies.

* Ensure all operatives and subcontractors are appropriately trained and competent.

* Conduct site inspections and manage defect resolution.

* Liaise with design teams and third-party auditors to resolve technical issues.

* Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
