Inspectors,includingtraineesandspecialists. Allocate workloads,set priorities,andensuredeliveryofhigh-qualityinspectionservices. Provide mentoring,coaching,andprofessionaldevelopmentsupporttoteammembers. Deputiseforthe Headof Building Controlandsupportstrategicobjectives . Undertakespecialisttechnicalassessments,plan reviews,andsiteinspections. Manageaportfolioofprojects,includingcomplexandhigh-risk developments. Ensurecompliancewiththe Building Act
1984,Building Safety Act
2022,and Building Regulations
2010. Evaluate plans,approveorrejectapplications,andoverseeremedialactionswhererequired. Essential Experience Required Deputy Headof Building Control Significantexperiencein Building Control ,includingcomplexandhigh-risk projects. Provenexperiencemanagingorsupervisingatechnicalteam. Experienceworkingwithinalocalauthorityorsimilarregulatoryenvironment. Strongunderstandingofconstructionmethods,materials,andindustrypractices. Experiencewithenforcementproceduresandlegalprocesses. Essential Qualifications Required Deputy Headof Building Control Degreeorequivalentin Building Control ,Building Surveying,Construction,Structural Engineering,orrelatedfield. Charteredmembershipofarelevantprofessionalbody(e.g.,RICS,CABE,CIOB). Current Building Inspector registration (Class3
Specialistor equivalent).
