The Company

An award winning, multi-disciplinary construction consultancy operating across four offices across the South of England! The business has come a long way from their modest beginnings as a building surveying practice established back in 1977. Over the last 44 years, they have grown and become a major provider of integrated design, property and construction consultancy services.

Flexible working is offered with three days per week office commitments required.

The Role

They are seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor who is capable managing public sector housing projects through their entire lifecycle, from initial inception to final completion.

Reporting into the Senior Manager, you will work across a full range of Building Surveying services including structural surveys & acquisition inspections of buildings, building defects analysis, writing specifications, contract administration, preparing/submitting applications for statutory consent and liaising with relevant authorities.

Requirements for the Senior Building Surveyor
  • Contract Administration (must be familiar with the JCT Suite of Contracts)
  • Degree qualified - within a construction related discipline
  • 5+ years industry experience - preferably within a consultancy environment
  • Excellent time management
  • Understanding of the needs and demands of clients and will to exceed their expectations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - both written and verbal
  • Able to prioritise workload, planning ahead as required
  • Able to work individually or in a team
  • Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
