Senior Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £40 - 50,000 + package

Location: Derby

Regions: Essex, Kent, London, South East

Overview: Reporting to the Area Manager you will have responsibility for the quantity surveying, contractual and commercial support within the South East region, dealing with a high turnover of small contracts (ranging from £3k – £1million).

Qualifications: You should have previous experience in a similar role, ideally for a contractor or specialist subcontractor, within the construction/civil engineering industry, and possess high financial/numeracy skills, good attention to detail, and a solid working knowledge of different forms of contracts, contract law, dispute resolution and litigation, claim management, commercial management, insurance requirements in the construction industry, and key elements of corporate and construction legislation.

Additionally, successful candidates will need to be fully conversant with Standard Methods of Measurement and Rules of Valuation.

Requirements: Candidates should have a QS/Commercial Management related degree or be qualified through experience. A full driving licence is required, and the ability to travel to off‑site meetings and occasional nights away is necessary.

• 25 days holiday (plus shutdown between Christmas & New Year are extra days off), plus stats
