Position
An experienced Quantity Surveyor is required to manage multiple small to medium-sized projects, overseeing commercial, contractual and financial responsibilities from start to finish. An Intermediate to Senior Quantity Surveyor role based in Dartford, working full-time from the office (8am–5pm) with site visits as required. The successful candidate will manage multiple small to medium-sized projects, taking responsibility for the commercial management of contracts from subcontract review through to final accounts.
The role includes client liaison, contract administration, cost reporting, variation management, payment applications, extensions of time, and supporting wider operational tasks such as document control, fleet administration, timesheets and O&M manuals.
- 5+ years' Quantity Surveying experience within the UK.
- Experience working for a main contractor, or a subcontractor specialising in groundworks, landscaping or fencing.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, typically valued between £50k and £1m.
- Strong knowledge of JCT contracts (essential).
- Experience reviewing subcontracts and negotiating commercial terms.
- Skilled in payment applications, valuations, variations, final accounts and extensions of time.
- Confident producing monthly cost reports, monitoring accruals and work in progress.
- Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Organised and able to coordinate with installers, Contracts Managers, Accounts and external clients.
- Adaptable, motivated and reliable with excellent attention to detail.
- RICS qualification is beneficial but not essential.
