Surveyors. Providesprofessionalquantitysurveyingprinciplesandmethodologiestofacilitatevaluation,costplanningandcostcontrolofplannedpreventativemaintenance,repairsandrefurbishmentprogrammes. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.Provideexpertandprofessionaladvicetootherprofessionalsandmanagersonqualitysurveyingandcostplanningaspectsofplannedpreventativemaintenance,repairsandrefurbishmentprogrammes,contractsandworkpackages.
2.Providehighlevelexpertisetoensureappropriatesystemsareinplacesothatseniormanagersareregularlybriefedonperformance,keptinformedaboutprogressandgiventimelyadviceonpolicyoptionsandtheirimplementationsothatreportscanbepreparedforthecouncilandothers,includingtenantgroups.
3.Responsibleforthepreparationofpricingdocumentationandmanagementofbudgetsofupto
12m,andcontrolbudgetexpenditurebythecarefulmanagementandcostingofvariations.
4.Appointandmanageinternalandexternalconsultantsandsuppliersprovidingarangeofservices,includingallocationofworktosub-contractors.
5.Issueandreceiptdocumentsand/orworkpackagesandpreparationoftenderreportsandrecommendationsandresponsibleforpreparingandagreeingserviceprovidervaluations,contractdisputesandfinalaccounts.
6.Undertake Value Engineeringandriskidentificationofprojectcostsandtoensurerisksaremitigatedandthe Councilreceivesvalueformoney .
7.PreparationofestimatesandnoticesforHOU/LeaseholdersandfinalcostsforHOUandpreparingcomplexreportsasanexpertwitnessattheLVT. Southwark Councilvalues:

Councilsassets. 11.Overarchingresponsibilityforthecostcontrolofcontractsacrossthe Housing Management Division ,providingcommercialadviceonprojectcostingandbenchmarkinginformation. 12.Implementandmanageaperformancemanagementframeworktoensurethatservicedesignandspecificationprovisionachievestargetssetandevaluatetheeffectivenessofcontracts,service providers,productsandconsultants
