Company OverviewLeggwork is working with a leading name in Land and Utility surveying, currently engaged on some of the UK’s largest and most high-profile infrastructure projects. With a strong pipeline of work across civil engineering, highways and utilities frameworks, they are now looking to bring in a Senior Utility Surveyor to support delivery across major schemes throughout the South East.
This is an opportunity to step into a senior role within a forward-thinking survey business, where your technical input will help shape nationally significant infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Lead PAS
128 utility surveys across major UK infrastructure projects - Oversee and conduct utility and PAS
128 surveys to a high technical standard - Mentor junior surveyors and support team development on site
- Use a range of specialist equipment including Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Cat and Genny
- Review and compile survey data for reporting and client submission
- Liaise with clients, engineers and project teams to ensure smooth delivery
- Maintain strong health and safety standards on site
- Formal surveying qualification such as QCF, Pro Qual Level 5 or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Utility surveying with strong knowledge of PAS
128 - Proficiency with GPR and electromagnetic location tools
- Ability to lead or supervise a team on site
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and working practices within civil infrastructure
- Full UK driving licence (company van provided)
- Background in civil engineering, highways, construction or utilities sectors
- CSCS or equivalent site card
- Salary between £42,000 - £55,000 depending on experience
- Company van, fuel card and all necessary equipment provided

While the basic salary sits between £42,000 – £55,000, this role offers strong additional earning potential beyond salary alone when the volume of work is available.
