Deliver Complex Infrastructure. Influence Major Investment!
An established international construction and infrastructure consultancy is seeking a Senior Cost Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding London team.
This is an opportunity to work on major infrastructure programmes with a consultancy recognised for delivering complex, high-value projects across the built environment. You'll work directly with clients, providing strategic commercial advice throughout the full project lifecycle.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive cost management services from feasibility through to final account, acting as a trusted advisor to clients while managing multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver full pre and post-contract cost management services.
- Prepare cost estimates, cost plans, budgets and cashflows.
- Manage procurement strategies, tender documentation and contractor selection.
- Administer contracts and oversee commercial delivery throughout project life cycles.
- Undertake valuations, change control, forecasting and final accounts.
- Lead value engineering and risk management activities.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key commercial advisor.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Support business development and mentor junior members of the team.
About You
We are looking for an experienced consultancy professional who enjoys working in a client-facing environment and can confidently manage projects with minimal supervision.
- Consultancy background within Cost Management or Quantity Surveying.
- Experience working on building-related infrastructure schemes (rather than civil engineering alone).
- Strong pre and post-contract cost management experience.
- Client-facing experience with responsibility for managing stakeholder relationships.
- Sound knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts.
- Commercially aware with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- MRICS qualified or working towards Chartership is desirable.
What's On Offer?
- Opportunity to work on nationally significant infrastructure programmes.
- Exposure to high-profile clients and complex capital projects.
- Genuine career progression within a growing international consultancy.
- Collaborative, supportive and high-performing team.
- Competitive salary, bonus and comprehensive benefits package.
If you're an experienced Senior Cost Manager or Quantity Surveyor with a consultancy background, infrastructure expertise and strong client-facing skills, we would love to hear from you.
