Logistics Supervisor

The Company,
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, high-end main contractor operating across London and the Home Counties. Specialising in bespoke residential and commercial projects, they are a Director-led business with a strong reputation for quality and delivery. They are currently delivering a programme of school new builds and extensions across West London and are looking for a Logistics Supervisor to support their site teams.

The Role ,
We are looking for an enthusiastic and site-savvy Logistics Supervisor, ideally in the earlier stages of their construction career, to join a busy school construction programme across West London. This is a customer-facing role working alongside trades and site management, ensuring the smooth day-to-day logistics of live construction sites in an occupied or semi-occupied school environment. You'll be working on sites in Chiswick, St Dunstable and Pinner.

Key Responsibilities:

* Overseeing day-to-day logistics across one or more school construction sites
 
* Coordinating deliveries, materials and plant movements on site
 
* Liaising with trades and subcontractors to ensure smooth site operations
 
* Acting as a point of contact for school staff, visitors and the public in a professional and courteous manner
 
* Ensuring site access, segregation and safety is maintained at all times
 
* Supporting the site management team with daily operations
 
* Maintaining accurate site records and logs
 
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations throughout
 
* Attending site meetings and contributing to programme delivery
Requirements:
 
* SMSTS qualification (essential)
 
* First Aid at Work (essential)
 
* CSCS card
 
* Experience in a site-based construction role
 
* Customer-facing and confident dealing with school staff, parents and members of the public
 
* Comfortable working alongside and communicating with trades
 
* Based in or around West London
 
* Organised, reliable and able to hit the ground running
Desirable
 
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
 
* Previous experience on school, education or occupied site projects
 
* Experience in a logistics or site coordination role
