You'll take ownership of all site logistics, ensuring the efficient coordination of deliveries, materials, site access and storage while supporting the safe and successful delivery of the project.
The Role Working closely with the project delivery team, you'll be responsible for planning, coordinating and managing all logistics activities on site, ensuring operations run efficiently, safely and in line with programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all site logistics activities throughout the project lifecycle. Develop and implement site logistics plans to support project delivery. Coordinate deliveries, material handling and site movements to minimise disruption and maximise efficiency. Manage site access, traffic management and security in line with Health & Safety requirements. Work closely with Project Managers, Package Managers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure logistics align with the construction programme.
Oversee site storage areas, ensuring materials are received, stored and distributed safely and efficiently. Manage logistics subcontractors, monitoring performance and coordinating daily activities. Maintain logistics documentation, permits and safety records. Attend project, planning and logistics coordination meetings. Identify and mitigate logistical risks, including site congestion, delivery delays and access restrictions. Prepare progress reports and provide regular updates to the wider project team.
Promote a safe, organised and efficient working environment across the site. About You Degree qualified in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management or a related discipline. 5-7 years' experience in a logistics management role within the construction or engineering sector. Strong background managing logistics on large-scale construction projects. Excellent knowledge of traffic management, site coordination and material handling. Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders. Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements within a construction environment. Previous experience within data centres, industrial, infrastructure or other mission-critical projects would be highly advantageous. What's on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package.
