Location: Greater London

We're looking for a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Adviser to join our Kier Mechanical and Electrical team based in our Southern Region.

Location: Covering KME projects in London & the Southern Region

Hours: As required - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We're seeking a dedicated Health, Safety and Wellbeing Adviser to support our projects across London and the Southern Region. In this role, you’ll provide essential guidance and support to ensure safe, healthy workplaces and sites, working with teams on projects ranging from £5m to £100m. You’ll play a key part in maintaining our high standards of health, safety and wellbeing across all our construction activities.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Carrying out regular site audits, inspections and visits to identify safe working conditions and provide practical recommendations
  • Supporting Line Management with comprehensive guidance on HSW policies, procedures and legislation
  • Compiling accident reports and investigations, providing recommendations to prevent future incidents
  • Advising on the practical implementation of CDM, Construction Phase Plans and Wellbeing strategies
  • Promoting our Think Safety Differently behavioural safety programme and maintaining effective communication with our supply chain

What are we looking for?

  • You have competence within construction safety, health, environmental and wellbeing, ideally as a Chartered Member of IOSH (or working towards this)
  • You can demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present confidently in meetings and forums
  • You have a proactive approach to resolving issues and finding practical, effective solutions
  • You’re comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a collaborative team, managing your time efficiently
  • You hold a Full driving licence and are willing to travel across the region to fulfil your duties
