Freelance Quantity Surveyor – Hotel Refurbishment | Central London

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join a high-profile £40 million hotel refurbishment project in Central London.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a prestigious scheme involving the refurbishment and transformation of a luxury hotel, with a well-established contractor delivering a complex, fast-paced project.

Key Responsibilities

* Commercial management of the project from site through to final account.

* Procurement and management of subcontract packages.

* Preparation and submission of valuations, variations, and payment applications.

* Cost reporting, forecasting, and budget control.

* Management of subcontractor accounts and payments.

* Identification and management of commercial risks and opportunities.

* Close collaboration with the project team to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.

* Attendance at client and project meetings.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on major construction or refurbishment projects.

* Hotel, high-end residential, or commercial refurbishment experience is highly desirable.

* Strong knowledge of JCT contracts.

* Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.

* Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative project team.

* Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred.
