We're looking for Senior Estimators to join our Pre-Construction Team within Kier Strategic Projects.

Location: Nationwide

Hours: Full-time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

As a Senior Estimator, you'll play a vital role in supporting the generation of profitable tenders within our Construction business. You'll be estimating project costs, identifying opportunities to maximise profit, and working collaboratively across teams to ensure successful project delivery. This is an excellent opportunity to use your technical expertise whilst developing and mentoring others in the estimating team.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Estimator, You'll Be Working Within The Strategic Projects Team, Supporting Them In Delivering Profitable Tenders And Maximising The Order Pipeline. Your Day To Day Will Include:

  • Leading and motivating the estimating team, promoting best practice throughout the tender process
  • Estimating costs and resources for projects, negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to minimise costs
  • Contributing to the assessment, preparation, and submission of tenders whilst maximising profit and minimising risk
  • Building strong commercial relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers
  • Participating in project handovers to fulfilment teams and providing accurate reports and forecasts
What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Estimator is great for you if:

  • You have experience working within a Main Contractor or Tier 1 Contractor company
  • You're proficient in Excel, Estimating System Software, and take-off software such as Blue Beam
  • You can demonstrate leadership experience within a pre-construction team
  • You have examples of developing and mentoring junior team members
  • You possess knowledge of benchmarking and cost planning with a conscientious, detail-oriented approach
