Freelance Project Manager – Industrial Fit-Out

Heathrow | £350–£400 Per Day CIS | 4-Month Contract

A leading construction contractor is currently seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a circa £7m industrial fit-out project in the Heathrow area.

This is a freelance opportunity for an established Project Manager with strong industrial, commercial or warehouse fit-out experience, who can take responsibility for the project from mobilisation through to practical completion and handover.

The Project

The project involves the full fit-out of an industrial facility, including extensive CAT A/B office accommodation and associated operational, welfare and storage facilities.

The works include:

* CAT A/B office fit-out

* Staff kitchen and welfare facilities

* Washrooms

* Passenger and goods lifts

* Internal pallet racking and storage systems

* Structural mezzanine floors

* Associated mechanical and electrical services

* Specialist subcontractor packages

* Testing and commissioning

* Snagging and final handover

The Role

The successful Project Manager will be responsible for the full delivery of the project, managing the scheme from mobilisation through to practical completion and client handover.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Overall management and delivery of the £7m fit-out project

* Managing all site operations and subcontractors

* Programme management and monitoring project progress

* Coordinating specialist subcontract packages

* Managing design development and technical interfaces

* Procurement and coordination of subcontract packages

* Managing quality and health & safety across the project

* Client liaison and stakeholder management

* Coordinating testing and commissioning

* Managing snagging and completion activities

* Ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards

* Managing the final completion and client handover process

About You

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record delivering industrial or commercial fit-out projects.

You should have experience in:

* Industrial or commercial fit-out

* CAT A/B office fit-out

* Managing specialist subcontractors

* Mechanical and electrical services

* Design development and technical coordination

* Programme and procurement management

* Testing, commissioning and handover

* Client-facing project delivery

The ability to operate as a standalone Project Manager and take full ownership of the project will be essential.
