The Quantity Surveyor will report into the senior commercial team and take day to day ownership of cost on their allocated projects.
The Quantity Surveyor role
* Managing costs from procurement through to final account
* Preparing and agreeing valuations, variations and applications for payment
* Subcontract procurement, packages and payment certificates
* Producing cost reports and forecasts for internal review
* Working alongside site teams to keep commercial and delivery aligned
* Administering contracts under NEC and JCT
What the Quantity Surveyor will need
* Experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor
* Working knowledge of NEC and JCT forms of contract, and confidence administering them
* A civil engineering background or experience on groundworks packages is desirable
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, or equivalent site based experience
* Strong Excel and cost reporting skills
* Right to work in the UK
