If you're a Building Surveyor who wants more variety, more ownership and a clear path to progress, this could be a great opportunity to join a consultancy that's going from strength to strength.
We're working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy that's continuing to grow its Building Surveying team across London and the Southeast. With a strong pipeline of new work, they're looking for an experienced Building Surveyor to join the team and play a key role across an exciting mix of professional and project-based work.
You'll work across education, healthcare, commercial, government, defence, infrastructure and public sector estates, giving you the chance to broaden your experience and work on projects that genuinely make an impact.
What you'll be doing
You'll have plenty of variety in your day-to-day work, with responsibilities including:
Providing professional Building Surveying advice across a diverse property portfolio.
Undertaking condition surveys, defect investigations and technical due diligence.
Leading refurbishment, maintenance and improvement projects from inception through to completion.
Acting as Contract Administrator across JCT and NEC contracts.
Producing specifications, schedules of work and technical reports.
Working alongside clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful projects.
Supporting and mentoring junior surveyors while developing your own technical and commercial expertise.
You'll have the autonomy to take ownership of your projects, backed by an experienced team and a business that's genuinely invested in your development.
Requirements
They're keen to hear from Building Surveyors with:
A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
MRICS status or active progression towards Chartership.
Experience across both professional Building Surveying and project work.
Strong knowledge of building pathology, construction technology and refurbishment.
Experience with JCT and/or NEC contract administration.
An understanding of CDM Regulations and the Building Safety Act.
Strong communication skills and the confidence to build trusted client relationships.
Experience across education, healthcare, commercial property, local authorities, defence or central government would be beneficial, but isn't essential.
Why consider it?
This isn't just another Building Surveying role. It's an opportunity to join a growing team, broaden your project exposure and build a career with a consultancy that puts development and progression at the forefront.
You'll benefit from:
A genuinely diverse project portfolio.
Clear opportunities to progress as the team continues to grow.
Professional development and Chartership support.
Exposure to multidisciplinary projects and specialist expertise.
Hybrid and flexible working.
A collaborative environment where you'll have the opportunity to make your mark.
If you're ready for a role that gives you more variety, responsibility and room to progress, apply now!
