Role & Responsibilities Supervise timber frame erection crews on site, ensuring safe working practices and consistent build quality standards.
Coordinate daily activities with the principal contractor site manager to maintain programme alignment and workflow continuity.
Report site progress, issues, and resource requirements to the contracts manager through structured daily updates.
Complete weekly project reports for head office, detailing programme status, risks, and mitigation actions.
Carry out recorded quality inspections on timber frame installations to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Ensure health and safety procedures are followed on site, promoting a proactive safety culture among all operatives.
Manage handover processes for completed timber frame structures, ensuring readiness for follow-on trades and inspections.
Set daily and weekly work tasks for crews, monitoring productivity against programme targets and adjusting where required.
Skills & Experience Required Experience as a contracts supervisor or timber frame site foreman within residential construction projects.
Strong knowledge of timber frame systems, roof trusses, and structural installation sequencing on active sites.
Ability to lead site teams effectively, ensuring clear direction, accountability, and consistent performance outcomes.
Confidence communicating with site managers, subcontractors, and internal teams in a professional manner.
Minimum CSCS card or SMSTS certification, demonstrating understanding of site safety and compliance requirements.
Proven ability to monitor progress against programme targets and implement corrective actions when required.
Experience completing quality inspections and maintaining accurate site records for reporting and compliance purposes.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple site priorities and changing project demands.
Salary & Benefits Salary of 35,000 – 40,000 per annum, dependent on experience and relevant site expertise.
