Project Manager – Building & Construction Main Contractor

Position: PROJECT MANAGER – BUILDING & CONSTRUCTION MAIN CONTRACTOR
Job I am currently working with a number of UK main contractors as well as a number of developers who are actively seeking an experienced Project Manager on the building construction side.

The majority of the clients and projects are based in and around the London area for different purposes including education, healthcare, refurbishments, social and affordable housing, residential units and private high end apartments.

This is a permanent position and you must a solid background within the construction industry working as a Project Manager for a main contractor/ developer with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a permanent capacity.

The ideal candidate will have broad experience of build systems including traditional build, timber frame, lightweight steel and concrete frame.

Duties & Responsibilities will include;

• Management of health and safety,

• Managing a number of site managers

• Sub contract and consultant co-ordination,

• Resources including plant labour materials,

• Quality standards and environmental management.

Projects will range in value between 20-150 million.

As Project Manager you will be responsible for the producing and implementing construction programmes, ensuring that works are carried out in accordance with health and safety, control of the preliminary budget, liaison with subcontractors, client representatives and consultants. You will monitor and motivate the site team and ensure the highest level of quality is upheld.

Requirements:
Previous UK Main Contractor/ Developer experience
Must reside in the UK
Degree qualified preferred but not essential
3-5+ years industry experience
Audit skills and certification would be useful.
