Senior Quantity Surveyor Location – London, with regional travel required
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team at Galliford Try within our Building London South East team. What you will be doing:
Manage all commercial aspects of project delivery from tender through to final account, including producing commercial notices as required by the contract.
Manage subcontract works packages including, interim assessments of the amount due and subsequent change management.
Lead on commercial risk management, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Produce, and be able to present, detailed monthly reports and Cost Valuation Reconciliations (CVR) as required by the operating unit or project.
Produce and maintain a detailed ‘Cost Plan’, tracking and forecasting expenditure, including detailed schedules of subcontractor ‘liabilities’ and use of Oracle based cost analyses.
Manage and develop junior Quantity Surveyors within the operating unit.
About you:
Desirable to have a professional qualification such as MCIOB or MRICS, ideally Incorporated member, or working towards full membership.
Relevant degree and/or experience of working in a relevant commercial environment.
CSCS appropriate.
Good appreciation of standard forms of contract and experience using Contractual and Cost Management Systems (CEMAR, Oracle)
