The role is based within the South East London team and combines building surveying with project management responsibilities. You will work closely with Project Team Leaders and clients throughout project delivery.

Responsibilities include contract administration, feasibility studies, measured surveys, design development, statutory approvals, tendering, inspections, and technical reporting. You will act as Contract Administrator or Employer’s Agent across a range of building projects. The position also involves preparing drawings, specifications, schedules of work, and contract documentation.

Role & Responsibilities Collaborate with Project Team Leaders and clients while presenting schemes, managing timelines, and supporting service delivery

Act as Contract Administrator or Employer’s Agent across building projects using standard forms of construction

Conduct site visits and prepare comprehensive inspection reports to support project and client requirements

Deliver initial appraisals, feasibility studies, measured surveys, and outline design proposals with budget estimations

Prepare scheme designs, full working drawings, specifications, schedules of work, and supporting bills of quantities

Manage statutory approval applications including Planning, Listed Building Consent, and Building Control requirements

Lead tender processes, analyse submitted bids, prepare tender reports, and manage associated contract documentation

Deliver Party Wall procedures, schedules of condition, maintenance manuals, and detailed future maintenance reports

Skills & Experience Required Hold a BSc Honours degree in Building Surveying or demonstrate equivalent professional knowledge and competence

Have at least one year of relevant post-qualification experience within building surveying or comparable responsibilities

Hold MRICS status or demonstrate active progress towards achieving recognised MRICS professional accreditation

Demonstrate successful experience working collaboratively within interdisciplinary project teams across relevant building projects

Show excellent core building surveying skills across inspections, design, documentation, statutory approvals, and contracts

Demonstrate effective project management skills when coordinating project programmes, documentation, consultants, and service delivery

Possess excellent client interface skills when presenting proposals, discussing requirements, and supporting project decisions

Salary & Benefits Salary up to 55,000 DOE Flexible working hours based around a seven hour working day and 35 hours weekly
