Morson Edge is recruiting on behalf of a leading Built Environment Consultancy for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join their established building surveying team in London.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a prestigious client base across commercial, retail and education sectors, while developing your career within a growing, collaborative team that splits its time between a central London HQ and client sites nationally.
The RoleYoull provide professional advice and technical support across diverse national property portfolios, working closely with key client accounts. As the team continues to grow, youll also have the opportunity to mentor and support junior colleagues, helping them develop their skills and manage their own project workloads.
Key Responsibilities- Developing detailed project briefs alongside clients and senior colleagues
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Supporting business development activity within the team
- Producing designs, specifications and tender documentation
- Administering JCT (Joint Contracts Tribunal) building contracts
- Delivering a broad range of surveying services, including:
- Condition surveys
- Defect analysis
- Party wall consultancy
- Dilapidations
- Reinstatement cost assessments
- Working closely with clients, contractors and other consultants
- Supporting project financial management
- Mentoring and developing junior team members
- MRICS (Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)
- Experience advising on commercial, retail or education sector properties, within the public or private sector
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Experience using NBS Chorus is desirable but not essential
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK
- Salary up to £60,000, dependent on experience
