M&E Site Manager - 132kv Substation build
Location:
East London
Rate: £400/day (All Inclusive)
Duration:
Initial contract through to March 2027
Start Date:

The Opportunity
My client is seeking an experienced M&E HV Installation Site Manager to oversee the delivery of high-voltage electrical installation works on a major project in East London.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with a strong pipeline of work, with the potential for further contract extensions or subsequent project opportunities beyond the initial assignment.
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day management of site operations and installation activities.
Supervision and coordination of subcontractors and direct labour.
Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
Managing site health & safety compliance and promoting a positive safety culture.
Liaising with project management, engineering teams and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Reviewing RAMS, permits and site documentation.
Monitoring progress against programme and identifying any risks to delivery.
Conducting site inspections, toolbox talks and progress meetings.
Ensuring all works are completed in line with project specifications and industry standards.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience working as a Site Manager on HV electrical infrastructure projects.
Strong background in M&E and HV installation works.
Experience managing subcontractors and site-based delivery teams.
Good working knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements.
Ability to work independently whilst maintaining strong communication with project stakeholders.
Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
Essential Qualifications
SMSTS
First Aid at Work
Desirable Experience
DNO project experience (UKPN, SSEN, WPD, ENWL, SPEN or similar).
Experience working on ICP, utility or power infrastructure projects.
Previous involvement in substation, cable installation or associated HV works.
Additional Information
Grid authorisations are not required for this position.
The successful candidate will be required on site within the next couple of weeks.
