Job Summary Senior MEP Cost Consultant Job London opportunity within a team delivering residential developments across the UK. The team works closely with clients, consultants and wider project teams to support successful project outcomes. The Senior MEP Cost Consultant will report directly to an Associate Director or Director.
The position includes responsibility for specialist commercial advice, client relationships and project delivery. The role also provides opportunities to mentor junior colleagues and contribute to technical knowledge development. Digital and data-led approaches form part of the team’s continued development within construction and cost management.
Role & Responsibilities Lead day-to-day MEPH cost management activities across assigned residential projects throughout their delivery stages
Manage cost planning, estimating, procurement and post-contract cost management through to successful project completion
Provide specialist commercial advice covering MEPH costs, risk management and value engineering throughout projects
Work closely with clients, consultants and wider project teams to support successful project outcomes
Build and maintain strong client relationships, including effective engagement with senior-level project stakeholders
Support and mentor junior team members while contributing practical MEPH cost management knowledge
Contribute to developing MEPH technical knowledge and digital and data-led approaches to cost management
Skills & Experience RequiredMRICS is preferred, or candidates should hold another relevant professional qualification for the role Strong technical capability across core MEPH cost management activities and established project delivery processes
Practical experience covering cost estimating, cost planning, procurement and post-contract cost management responsibilities
Good knowledge of MEPH systems and technologies across different stages of the project lifecycle
Commercial awareness with strong understanding of residential cost drivers and wider development objectives
Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills when working across multiple project teams
Ability to manage workloads across multiple projects while consistently delivering work to required deadlines
Adaptable and proactive approach with high attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
