Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced M&E / MEP Quantity Surveyor to join a rapidly growing M&E contractor as they continue their expansion into London.
Originally established in the Southwest, the business currently has a turnover of approximately £15m and has recently secured investment from a high-profile figure within the industry. With an experienced Regional Director now leading the London operation, the company has ambitious plans to grow to £60m–£80m turnover by 2027.
The business is already securing significant volumes of work and is currently turning projects away while they build the right team to support their growth.
This is a key appointment within the commercial function, working closely alongside an experienced Commercial Manager and supporting the successful delivery of projects. The role offers genuine scope for increased responsibility and progression as the London operation continues to develop.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the commercial and financial aspects of M&E packages across projects.
Work closely with the Commercial Manager to ensure strong commercial performance.
Prepare and manage valuations, applications, payments, and variations.
Manage subcontractor accounts and commercial agreements.
Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
Assist with procurement and negotiation of subcontract packages.
Assess variations, change control, and additional costs.
Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare monthly commercial reports and financial forecasts.
Work closely with Project Managers, Contracts Managers, and site teams.
Maintain strong commercial relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Assist with final accounts and project close-out.
Provide commercial support across the growing London project portfolio.
Requirements
Proven experience as an M&E / MEP Quantity Surveyor within the construction or M&E sector.
Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical subcontract packages.
Experience managing valuations, variations, procurement, subcontractor accounts, and final accounts.
Strong commercial awareness with excellent attention to detail.
Confident negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with project, site, and commercial teams.
Ambitious and commercially minded approach.
Desire to progress and take on increased responsibility as the business grows.
Package
Salary: £85,000–£100,000, depending on experience.
