Conrad Consulting is working with a highly respected multi-disciplinary consultancy that is looking to add a Graduate Building Surveyor to its growing London team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced Chartered Surveyors and gain hands-on exposure to a wide range of building surveying and project work across the residential, education, industrial and commercial sectors.
The Role
You’ll be involved in a varied workload from day one, developing your technical knowledge and gaining valuable experience across both professional and project-based building surveying services.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with building and condition surveys
Supporting pre-acquisition surveys and schedules of condition
Assisting with dilapidations and reinstatement cost assessments
Supporting contract administration, including specifications, tendering, contract documentation and site inspections
Assisting with the investigation and reporting of building defects
Supporting construction projects and monitoring works on site
Carrying out measured surveys and preparing professional reports
Working alongside experienced surveyors on larger multi-disciplinary projects
You’ll work with a diverse client base including developers, contractors, universities, schools, local authorities and major commercial organisations.
What We're Looking For
We’re keen to hear from Graduate Building Surveyors who are ambitious, commercially aware and serious about developing a long-term career in the profession.
Ideally, you’ll have:
A RICS-accredited Building Surveying degree, with a 2:2 or above
A genuine interest in property, construction and the built environment
Strong communication and organisational skills
Good attention to detail and written skills
A willingness to learn and develop
The right to work in the UK without requiring visa sponsorship
Excellent APC & Career Development
One of the major attractions of this opportunity is the structured support available towards your APC and RICS qualification.
You’ll receive mentoring and guidance from experienced Chartered Building Surveyors while gaining exposure to a broad range of instructions and projects. It’s an environment designed to help you develop the technical expertise, commercial awareness and confidence required to become a Chartered Building Surveyor
