Job Introduction

Are you ready to lead major infrastructure programmes that help shape the future of Southeast's railway?

We're seeking an Infrastructure
Programme Manager
to join our Fleet Strategy & Major Programmes team, based at our head office in London Bridge(hybrid working).

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of significant depot and infrastructure projects, working across the full project lifecycle from design and procurement through to construction, commissioning and operational handover.

You'll work with contractors, engineers, operational colleagues and industry partners to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and with long-term operational performance in mind.

What you’ll do

In this role you will lead the successful delivery of major rail infrastructure programmes that support South Eastern's long-term ambitions.

You'll provide leadership across complex projects, bringing together multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes that align with wider business objectives. You'll manage programme scope, schedules, risks, costs and dependencies, ensuring projects remain on track and stakeholders remain informed.

You'll act as South Eastern's intelligent client, challenging and supporting contractors, consultants and delivery partners to achieve the highest standards of safety, quality and performance. You'll also represent programmes at a senior level, providing governance, assurance and clear reporting throughout delivery.

The experience you’ll need

We encourage you demonstrate how your talents align with the below in your application;

  • You deliver complex infrastructure programmes – with a proven track record of delivering major rail construction projects from design through to operational handover
  • You turn plans into reality – maintaining momentum and delivering against challenging milestones
  • You are a trusted programme leader – providing confidence through sound judgement, clear communication and effective decision making
  • You bring people together – building strong relationships across contractors, suppliers and operational stakeholders
  • You thrive in a live operational environment – understanding the challenges of delivering major works around railway operations
  • You hold delivery partners to account – ensuring commitments are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard
  • You manage complexity with confidence – coordinating multiple work streams, interfaces and dependencies successfully
  • You bring relevant professional credentials – Chartered status (or working towards) would be advantageous, alongside significant rail infrastructure delivery experience

As proud members of the Armed Forces Covenant and Disability Confident Scheme, we will offer you an interview if you apply under these schemes and meet the minimum criteria for the role.
