Senior Cost Manager – Infrastructure & Energy
London | £65,000 – £95,000 + Package
I’m currently working with a leading construction and property consultancy that is looking to strengthen its Infrastructure & Energy team in London with the appointment of an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on the delivery of major, complex projects across the energy sector, with exposure to areas including power, utilities, renewables and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
The role will have a strong commercial and contractual focus, working closely with clients, project teams and contractors throughout the construction phase. You will take responsibility for contract administration, commercial reporting and change control, while helping clients navigate contractual and commercial issues as projects progress.
The ideal candidate will have:- Around 5–10 years’ experience delivering major projects within infrastructure, energy, power, utilities, renewables or BESS
- A strong understanding of NEC and/or FIDIC contracts, with hands‑on experience administering these during project delivery
- Proven experience assessing and managing contractual change, including compensation events, variations and claims
- Strong commercial awareness with experience producing cost reports, forecasts and providing commercial advice
- The confidence to work directly with clients, contractors and wider project stakeholders
- A background gained within a consultancy, client‑side organisation or contractor environment
This would suit someone looking to join a highly regarded team with a strong pipeline of major energy and infrastructure projects and excellent opportunities for progression.
