Mechanical Project Manager

Client:
Our client is a Mechanical Contractor who have been operating for 10+ years and specialise in the Commercial Office Fit Out sector (Cat A / Cat

B). They stereotypically take on full mechanical systems. All projects tend to be fast paced and value between £300k - £3m.
Role:
Mechanical Project Manager
- East London/Central London
- Up to £450 per day CIS or Ltd Company
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a £300k - £3m project reporting into the Managing Director. The project will be a commercial office fit out. Key to this role is managing the project at site level; ensuring it is completed on time, to a high quality and within budget.
Responsibilities:
 
* Tender review/validation
 
* Design Management (reviewing design liaising with client, main contractor and consultants)
 
* Procurement of subcontractors, kit and plant
 
* Technical submittals
 
* RFIs – Liaison with client team, main contractor and sub contractors
 
* Value Engineering where applicable
 
* Programming of works
 
* Health & Safety management (RAMs)
 
* Commercial Responsibility, assisting with sub contractor variation accounts working alongside project specific Quantity Survey.
 
* Management of variations
 
* Team Coordination
 
* Progress meetings with sub contractors, client and internal meetings
 
* Overseeing commissioning stages
 
* Formulation of OM Manuals and client handover
The ideal candidate:
 
* Have 3-5 years’ experience managing multi-disciplined Mechanical Services Installations.
 
* Progressed from a tools background and have good technical knowledge of mechanical services.
 
* Experience working in the commercial sector.
