Technical Coordinator

Technical Coordinator | South East London | Residential Main Contractor

We’re currently working with a medium-sized main contractor based in South East London
, who are looking to appoint an experienced Technical Coordinator to join their team.

The role will be predominantly site-based
, with one day per week at the company’s head office
, supporting the technical delivery of residential schemes being delivered in partnership with local housing associations
.

As Technical Coordinator, you’ll work closely with the site and commercial teams, consultants, subcontractors and housing association stakeholders to ensure projects are technically coordinated and delivered efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and coordinating design information throughout the project lifecycle
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation
• Coordinating consultants, subcontractors and design teams
• Raising and resolving technical queries and RFIs
• Ensuring information is issued in line with programme requirements
• Supporting the site team with technical and design-related issues
• Attending design and progress meetings
• Working closely with the commercial and construction teams
• Ensuring projects meet the required quality, technical and regulatory standards
• Liaising with housing association representatives and other key stakeholders

We’re looking for someone with previous experience in a Technical Coordinator / Technical Manager / Design Coordinator position within a main contracting environment
, ideally with experience delivering residential developments
.

Experience working on projects for housing associations, local authorities or registered providers would be highly advantageous.

You’ll need to be technically strong, organised and comfortable working closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Most importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys being involved in the detail and seeing projects through from design coordination into construction.
