Nottinghamshire I'm working with a well-established specialist contractor that is looking to strengthen its commercial team with an experienced Commercial Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to step into a Commercial Manager position . This is a great opportunity for someone who has a strong commercial background and is looking for the next step in their career, taking greater ownership of projects, commercial strategy and the wider team.

The Role You'll take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with project teams, clients and subcontractors. Key responsibilities will include:
Managing the commercial performance of live projects CVRs, forecasting, cost control and reporting Managing variations, compensation events and change Subcontract procurement and account management Contractual and commercial correspondence Cash flow and final accounts Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities Supporting and developing junior members of the commercial team Working closely with operational teams to maximise project performance About You We're looking for someone who is currently a Senior Quantity Surveyor, Managing QS or Commercial Manager , ideally with experience within specialist contracting, piling, foundations, geotechnical or civil engineering .

You'll need:
Strong commercial and contractual knowledge Experience managing projects from start to finish Good understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts Strong CVR, forecasting and cost-control experience Experience managing subcontractors and change The confidence to take ownership of commercial decisions Leadership experience, or a clear desire to step into a Commercial Manager position The Opportunity £90,000 - £105,000  package This is an opportunity to join a specialist business with a strong project pipeline and take a genuine step forward commercially, with the potential to develop into a senior leadership position.
