We’re working with a boutique property consultancy seeking a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its team.
An excellent opportunity to take ownership of projects, work closely with key stakeholders and contribute to the successful delivery of a diverse range of hotel developments.
The RoleAs Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of projects from inception through to completion, ensuring cost control and strong commercial results.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing all aspects of quantity surveying and commercial project delivery.
- Preparing cost plans, budgets, estimates and financial forecasts.
- Managing procurement, tendering, subcontractor appointments and contract negotiations.
- Monitoring project costs, cash flow, variations and change control.
- Preparing interim valuations, payment applications and final accounts.
- Identifying and managing commercial risks, opportunities and contractual issues.
- Working closely with project managers, clients, contractors and consultants.
- Providing accurate commercial reporting and supporting effective project decision-making.
- Ensuring projects are delivered in line with agreed budgets, programmes and contractual requirements.
We’re looking for a commercially driven Senior Quantity Surveyor who can demonstrate:
- Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction or property sector.
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
- Experience managing project costs, procurement, valuations and final accounts.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a strong focus on commercial outcomes.
- Experience across hotel, residential and/or commercial projects.
Relevant construction or surveying qualifications are desirable.
