Construction Director to Future Managing Director
Prime Central London | £100k–£135k+ Basic + Bonus + Potential Equity

An opportunity to run a construction business as if it were your own, with the backing of an established property investment and development group.

Borne Resourcing are working with a Prime Central London developer looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial construction professional to take full operational and commercial responsibility for its construction business.
The owner wishes to concentrate on property development and needs someone capable of running and growing the construction arm independently.
The business is already established, delivering high-end residential refurbishments, heritage projects and listed-building works, with increasing demand from external private clients.

This is not a conventional Construction Director role.
You'll have responsibility for:

Full P&L ownership, cash flow, margins and profitability
Project delivery, quality, subcontractors and commercial performance
Managing high-end residential refurbishment projects from £20k to £5m
Developing the supply chain and external client relationships
Building a management team as the business grows

Who are we looking for?
Ideally, someone who has run or played a significant role in managing a smaller construction business.
You could be an existing Managing Director, business owner, Construction Director or Operations Director, provided you have genuine commercial and operational responsibility.
You'll need extensive experience in Prime Central London high-end residential refurbishment, including heritage and listed buildings, alongside excellent financial judgement and a willingness to remain hands-on initially.
This is unlikely to suit someone whose experience has been exclusively within large contractors with extensive teams beneath them.

The longer-term opportunity is to build a substantially larger construction business, progress into an established Managing Director position and potentially acquire an equity stake.

For someone with the ambition to build something of their own, this represents an unusual opportunity.
