About Fussy

Hey good smelling! We’re Fussy…about everything in our mission to banish single‑use plastic from your bathroom. Having experienced exceptional growth over the past four years, we are now looking for a talented individual to join the team as Senior Creative to deliver compelling, high‑performing assets for our paid media campaigns.

You’ll report to our Paid Media Lead, working closely with the marketing, content, and design teams to craft performance creative that captures attention, tells our brand story, and drives conversions. You will cover the end‑to‑end process – from ideation, production, and optimisation of ads through data‑driven testing.

This is an exciting opportunity to join scale‑up through a significant period of growth. 💪🌍

About the role

Joining as our Senior Creative, you’ll be responsible for the end‑to‑end process – from ideation, production, and optimisation of ads through to data‑driven testing.

Creative Strategy & Ideation
  • Develop and own the creative strategy for paid media (Meta, Tik Tok, Google, Amazon) using audience insights and wider market trends to ensure we remain effective. You will work end‑to‑end from ideation, script writing right through to production.
  • Optimise and brief influencer creative to ensure it flows effectively through to paid media channels.
  • Generate innovative ad ideas for visuals, copy, and video by staying updated on industry trends.
Production Management
  • Ownership of end‑to‑end creative production, including briefing teams, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Manage relationships with freelancers and other creatives to bring ideas to life as needed.
  • Own creative agency relationship, including brief and asset review and approval process.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all assets, aligned with brand guidelines.
Copywriting & Messaging
  • Write engaging ad copy that drives clicks, conversions, and brand loyalty.
  • Test and refine messages for different audiences and channels for maximum impact.
  • Collaborate with content teams to ensure cohesive voice across customer touchpoints.
Testing & Optimisation
  • Execute testing strategies to identify high‑performing creatives.
  • Analyse performance data, providing actionable insights for future ad iterations.
  • Optimise creative assets based on performance and audience feedback.
Collaboration & Reporting
  • Report on creative performance and optimisation insights to stakeholders.
  • Led feedback loop between performance and brand teams.
  • Ensure performance creative aligns with brand.
  • Own creative ads KPIs such as monthly ad volume and ad win rate.
About you

Great comes in lots of different forms, and we’re really open to seeing candidates from a range of backgrounds. Given the nature of this role and what we’ll ask of you, we do believe that the following skills are needed to be able to deliver to a high standard:

  • Circa 4+ years of experience in a Creative advertising role, ideally in a DTC, FMCG, or start‑up or relevant experience in a creative agency.
  • Proven experience creating successful paid ads for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Google Ads from ideation through to execution (including shooting video + recording voice overs).
  • Strong copywriting skills and a portfolio showcasing high‑performing ads.
  • Experience with A/B testing and data‑driven creative optimisation.
  • Excellent project management and multitasking abilities.
  • Understanding of consumer psychology, advertising trends, and audience resonance.
  • Collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
  • Passion for sustainability and natural products.
  • Be nice.

And anyone who has these skills too would likely be a super fit for this role, but these are by no means essential:

  • Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager).
What we offer
  • A chance to say you helped save the planet, and smelt great doing it!
  • A salary of £55,000 – £75,000 depending on experience.
