This is an exciting role for someone who wants to be part of our expanding creative team, as we develop and refine our brand tone of voice.
Reporting in to the Sub Editor, and working closely with local market Content teams, our French Copywriter will be responsible for assisting in the management, ideating and transcreation of all written content for their market, in line with the broader brand/ creative narrative. A quick study, you’ll get stuck in to a broad range of exciting content produced by the copy team!
This can include everything from product descriptions, emails, blog and social content to marketing, digital, PR and product team requests!
This is a fast-paced role and the successful candidate will need to be adept at juggling multiple projects and ad-hoc requests with ease. A friendly team player, you’re always open to feedback and come to brainstorms brimming with ideas. Equally, you should feel comfortable working on your own, managing your time efficiently.
You’ll be;
- A fan of Jellycat
- A literary whizz, you understand SEO, CTAs, the difference between ATL and BTL and know a hyphen from an en dash
- A hawk-eyed editor with meticulous attention to detail (you can spot a typo a mile away)
- A creative thinker who is always looking for fresh angles
- Proactive and inquisitive, you’ll look at how to improve copy ways of working and help streamline processes and procedures
You’ll have;
- A native French speaker – a deep understanding of local linguistic nuances is essential!
- Ideally a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in French, Creative Writing, Marketing or Communications
- 2-3 years’ experience as a copywriter, ideally an experienced midweight
- A good understanding of SEO best practice
- A natural storyteller with a genuine passion for writing and editing
- A team player that embraces and delivers feedback comfortably
- Ability to multi-task and manage your own time well
