We are seeking an organised and passionate Programme Manager to join our Engage Team.

The Programme Manager is responsible for the creative development and management of a range of learning and participation projects and partnerships, with a key focus on Schools and Young People’s programmes. The post‑holder will be closely involved in the day‑to‑day running of the Department’s programme of work and its busy office, working closely with all members of the ENO Engage team and staff in other departments of the Company, as well as developing and managing key relationships outside the company including freelance artists, learning providers, partner organisations and community groups.

Requirements
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, or with appropriate arts industry experience or knowledge
  • Passion for music, theatre and the arts, and a commitment to enhancing its accessibility to a wide range of groups
  • Proven experience of devising and producing high quality arts education or participatory arts projects, including large scale projects involving multiple stakeholders and projects involving performances or productions
  • Demonstrably excellent project management, administrative and organisational skills
  • Experience of developing and managing budgets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven experience of communicating effectively with young people and adults from a range of backgrounds
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Understanding of and commitment to equal opportunities and diversity
  • Ability to present ideas and projects in formal and informal situations
  • Experience of liaising with a wide variety of artists, groups and partner organisations
  • Team player and experience of managing project teams
  • Ability to deal with a diverse workload, work under pressure and manage multiple priorities, both short‑and‑long‑term
  • Availability to work during evenings and at weekends and to travel within and outside London as required
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of basic website, CRM and email development software (Word Press, Dot Digital, Spektrix)
  • Strong understanding of current issues within arts education, particularly music education
  • Strong understanding of digital and multi‑media
  • Strong understanding of best practice in child protection and safeguarding
  • A team player, with strong collaborative skills
  • A sense of fun

Please note that this role is a part‑time, fixed term, maternity cover and job share. The contract dates are April 2026‑May 2027.
