Onsite Events Manager (Lambeth & Brixton) - Volunteer

1‑2 hours a week managing the planning and delivery of Think Tenacity Events that support underserved communities in tackling health inequalities by providing free counselling and mental health support for members of the Black community. This role helps our organisation develop free entry events for 2026 to drive future success and raise awareness of Black mental health issues.

  • Minimum three years experience as an event manager

  • Ability to work under pressure to ensure efficient running of events
  • Solution‑focused and flexible in managing event schedules

  • Ability to use Whats App for event team communications
What will you be doing?
  • Passionate about mental health events that are free for the Black community
  • Highly enthusiastic event manager with minimum three years experience in the private or public sector
  • Confident leadership skills to manage onsite event teams
  • Use the event link at  for event promotion
  • Provide weekly updates on event status in team meetings with the CEO and senior leaders via Zoom
  • Manage pre‑event deadlines – panel/speaker schedules, venue setup, volunteer delegation, and RSVP management
  • Own on‑site event day management, arriving early for set‑up
  • Update the event team’s SOP with step‑by‑step instructions to maintain consistency and efficiency
  • Strong IT skills and experience using event software tools such as Eventbrite
