London Transport Museum is the world’s leading museum of urban transport, inspiring visitors through our collections, exhibitions and public programmes. As a heritage and education charity, we work with communities, schools and partners across the capital to ignite curiosity and support a more inclusive future transport workforce. Safeguarding is central to all we do, and all staff and volunteers are DBS‑checked.
The Programme Manager:
Heritage Events leads the Museum’s public heritage events programme. This includes major events at the Depot, off‑site heritage vehicle activity, and the delivery of Depot Tours. You will develop and deliver a creative, audience‑focused programme that reflects the Museum’s collection, supports engagement and learning, and generates social and financial value.
You will oversee the planning, delivery and evaluation of events, working closely with internal teams, external partners and contributors. The role includes budget responsibility, income generation targets and management of staff, volunteers and freelancers involved in event delivery.
Become a member of a supportive and resourceful network of museum and heritage educators.
